Put IPC's design library at your fingertips! The IPC-2220 Series includes all IPC current design standards in the IPC-222X family. The series is built around the IPC-2221A, Generic Standard on Printed Board Design, the base document that covers all generic requirements for printed board design, regardless of materials. Also included within the series is the January 2000 release of Amendment 1 for the IPC-2221A. From there, the designer can choose the appropriate sectional standard for a specific technology. All four of these sectional standards are included with the series: IPC-2222, Sectional Standard on Rigid PWB Design; IPC-2223, Sectional Design Standard for Flexible Printed Boards; IPC-2224, Sectional Standard of Design of PWB for PC Cards; and IPC-2225, Sectional Design Standard for Organic Multichip Modules (MCM-L) and MCM-L Assemblies. Some enhancements over previous IPC design documents (IPC-D-275 and IPC-D-249) include expanded test specimen design, guidelines for V-groove scoring, an expanded laminate section, updated dimensioning requirements and a formula for determining foil web size.
